I've been looking up info about henna, thanks to tearsinger and ecwoodburn. It looks like a wonderful option, with better reults, and I'm very interested in trying it. I've never used henna before, and have no idea how to use it, or even where to buy it. Where should I look? Anything I need to know about as far as handling it, how long to leave it in so it looks good and saturated without being overdone, if fine hair takes it quicker than thick hair, ect, ect, ect...

My too-soon-lost person is Jim Henson. He was such a unique spirit, and used an under-utilized medium to share his thoughts and dreams, and did it so beautifully. I would have loved to have seen what else he had in mind, what other things his Kermit had to say. The world lost someone truly amazing when he left.

I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was pretty good. My in laws came over for dinner. This required massive cleaning of our apartment on Wednesday. It was worth it, if for no other reason than that clean-house feeling. Friday was spent with friends in Buffalo, Saturday was spent with friends here, and today was spent with friends not seen in a long time :) A tiring but good weekend, for sure.

Now it's 3 solid weeks til Christmas break, and 2 weeks left til this semester is done :)

School is not a fun place to be when having Intestinal Virus of Doom :/ It was good that I came, though....there was a crisis. I averted it, because I'm good.

Wow, I missed you all :)

I just saw a gorgeous movie called "Mrs. Brown" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mrs_Brown ). Wow...heart-breaking and lovely. I never knew Billy Connolly could be a dramatic actor; what a revelation. We already knew Dame Judi Dench was brilliant.

I highly recommend this, if you've not seen it before.

I was hoping to at least get into November before it happened.

My wonderful husband has gone to get ice cream and ginger ale for me....couldn't tell you why I want those things, but I do...and the boys are chilling out. Even though they've had flu shots, I don't want to chance it by being too close to them.

The boys are endevoring to have one of each type of dragon, so we found a white :) We also bred Liefstone and Stirling Bleu :) It will be neat to see if we get some surviving offspring :)

As predicted, about 10 people showed up for class last night. It did cross my mind to not go, but then, it bothers me. If you pay for it, I feel you ought to go. So I did. I kinda like it when it's smaller numbers...more gets covered, silliness ensues. I <3 my psych professor :)

Laundry laundry, never ending, washing til the end of time...there are 3 loads of shirts hanging out to dry ( thank God for the warm weather!! ) and another 4 loads of towels and blankets to do yet :/ I swear, the stuff reproduces if you let it sit long enough.

I just found out that my mother is on Facebook!! Talk about worlds colliding.

Tomorrow, I get to have an MMR shot because NO ONE can find record of me having the correct dosage. How insane is this??!? How on earth did I get through public school without this being noticed??

The windows are all opened and the air smells so good and earthy and leafy. I can't wait to go get pumpkins and cider!! I feel like the boys, all excited and young :) From the first of September to New Years is my favorite time of year...new school year, autumn changes, Thanksgiving, the first snow fall, Christmas....so much happening that harkens back to happy childhood memories.

Dakota has just informed me that his dragon is keeping watch over the little ones so they don't get eaten :) It's sweet.

There is a mountain of books in my hallway that Matt and the kids wish to give away. It's predominantly childrens' books....is anyone wanting books? I get to sort through them now.

Today, we cleaned. And cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. We picked up the whole apartment, vacced the whole apartment, rearranged the boys' room ( and boy does it look awesome! ), and put up curtains in the living room. It's already helping me feel calmer, not seeing all the clutter. It smells better, it looks better...its' good. I'll appreciate it all the more when my knees and hips stop hurting. The kids did a fabulous job, truly...I'm proud of the work they did :)
